I’m not sure about you, but especially in the Winter when I’m trying to juggle parenting + running the business despite the cold weather and a pandemic, I love focusing on a few things that really bring me joy. They’re not necessities by any means, but just things that are making me happy and lifting my spirits a bit. I thought it would be fun to share these things with you! These aren’t always the same for me, so I’ll always post when things shift and change.
David Romanelli’s Meditations are pulling me through, you guys. Really. He’s incredibly talented and his meditations have been such a gift to me.
I got an East Fork Pottery mug for Christmas and it’s lovely. Feels great in your hand, is beautiful, and just feels right. I’ve always loved a nap-time peppermint green tea, but I haven’t been able to enjoy that since I’ve been nursing. Looking forward to that sometime soon!
The Indoorsy Primrose Candle is the best and I’ve been loving lighting it when the kids go down at night.
Salt Lamps – I’ve had at least one for 10+ years now. The boys have one in their room, too! The warm glow is so life-giving. My mom has one for her feet that warms and it’s amazinggggg. That’s on my wish list! I like to get them locally at New Age People or at the salt cave!
I posted in a local parenting group (basically the world’s greatest parenting group that ever existed) asking about songs that pull them through these tough times and/or make them emotional about parenthood. I compiled all the songs in a Spotify play list. There’s lost of variety, but all of it pulls back to one thing – trying desperately to hold on to the beautiful moments and let the live the tough ones out, but releasing the holds on them. You can listen here.
I’d love to know the little things that bring you joy, too! Comment below or send me a message!
