Zoë & Colin planned (by themselves!), a sweet little wedding in July. There were about 50 guests there for an intimate outdoor ceremony at Holcomb Gardens on Buter University’s campus. My favorite part about their day was that they had planned and incorporated so many little personal details. From Zoës bracelet made with beads her mother had, to her dad driving them in his amazing Cadillac that had been in the family since it was driven off the lot, to Zoës ring from generations ago, to the veil made by ones of Zoë’s coworkers, to the reception held at Colin’s parents beautiful home. It was so genuine. The whole day was so full of love.
And off we went to Holliday Park for some pictures of the bride + groom!
This tree is incredible! Love when couples are willing to be adventurous for pictures!
The food? BEST I’ve had at a wedding to date. Goose the Market provided a hog roast while The Illinois St. Food Emporium made unbelievably delicious side items.
Melissa, my second-shooter, captured this next frame.
Near the end of the night at each wedding I photograph, I ask the bride & groom if there are any other photos they would like. Right after I asked that question, Colin said “Yes! This one!!!” and dipped Zoë down for a kiss. 🙂
Zoë & Colin, thank you so much for including me in your wedding day! You guys are the greatest. Enjoy being newlyweds!
