If you need any last minute gifts for your kids, a cute holiday outfit, or just want to support a small shop here in the Indy area in the future, here’s a list of my very favorites!
A new shop on the Monon in Downtown Broad Ripple, Monon Toys & Crafts has the most unique toys for kids all of ages. They source lots of their items from Europe and incredibly talented artisans, as well as some great U.S. brands. They have a great team who are so happy to help you find just what you’re looking for. And, just a warning: they’ll help you find lots of things you “need” that you weren’t originally out for! 😉
For those who love neutrals, sweet little details, precious clothing, and great gift ideas, this new shop in Carmel is your spot. It’s a new favorite of mine for kids clothes. All of our kids wore clothing from there for our family photos this Fall, too. The owners (a husband and wife team) are so sweet and helpful + wrap the most beautiful packages!
Clothes + gifts can be found here! It’s an adorable small shop. It’s on Mass Ave downtown Indianapolis, but during the holidays for the past couple of years they’ve done a little popup at The Fashion Mall for those on the north side to visit! They sell lots of Jellycats and heirloom toys and unique brands of baby/kids clothes.
Last week I somehow made it out without buying the cutest shirts for the boys and a baby doll bed for Parker (she LOVES dolls). Though I might have to sneak back in. Too many cute things! It’s always my favorite place to get things around race day weekend, too! Adorable Indy 500 shirts and cute race cars that vary each year, so take note for May!
This little kids book store is just 1 mile from my house. It’s in a little strip of small shops (and Starbucks). There’s a little area for kids to play while you shop, too. If they don’t have a book in stock they can easily order it for you! I prefer to order through them as opposed to Amazon when I can. They also have lots of PlayMobil, BRIO, and LEGOs, along with lots of Haba + other toys for babies and kids. A lot of times they have authors come in for book signings, too. It’s just a sweet little shop that makes me feel all the cozy library vibes.
I ordered quite a few books from here to give as Christmas gifts.
This toy store has been around for ages! I remember going when I was little. At that time it was at The Fashion Mall at Keystone. It’s now in the City Center at Carmel, just a hop skip and a jump from Hey Little Diddle. They have a huge selection of great toys and it really is a gem of Indianapolis. So grateful it’s been able to stay in business all these years!
I snagged quite a few little things here for our kids + my nephews!
Happy shopping, friends! Most importantly, I hope you feel happy, safe, and loved this holiday season, regardless of things you purchase for others and receive yourself. Sending lots of love your way!
