Hi, I'm Emily

This day couldn’t have been more lovely.  Sarah & Joe came back to Sarah’s home, Indiana, from Washington, D.C., where they’re living, for a backyard wedding celebration with their friends and family.  It was held on Sarah’s parents’ amazingly beautiful property in Northern Indiana.  The ceremony was held outside over-looking a pond, cocktail hour was held by their pool, and the reception was inside a castle-like tent.  Perfect.

Because Sarah & Joe live in Washington ,D.C., I didn’t have the chance to meet them prior to their wedding.  It sure didn’t matter at all–my second-shooter, Melissa, and I were warmly welcomed by everyone.  🙂

The best flower girl photograph of all time, right?!  Even with the crying, I think she’s precious.

After the ceremony, everyone was surprised when this flew over the tree line.  This was Sarah and Joe’s ride over to the location where we took pictures.

And the photo location wasn’t just any location.  On the other side of the trees is the family’s horse farm.  Such a special location for them to use for their pictures.  Sarah’s horse, Cache, joined us for a little bit.  So fun!

The best part about the image below is that it’s 100% natural and real.  Zero editing done by me.  Straight out of the camera!

The reception was put together so nicely.  Pears as place cards, the lanterns, chandeliers, and lavender tucked into each napkin pulled it all together.

Sarah and Joe, thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me photograph your wedding day.  I hope you’re enjoying each and every day in Europe!
