I'm a photographer providing honest & authentic images that tell the stories of your connection
Hi, I'm Emily

I missed the tiny road twice.  Finally, I found it.  The reason I hadn’t noticed it was because it was a narrow gravel road with a wooden sign painted with “PRIVATE” on each side.  I make the turn, drive up hesitantly, as I see an older gentleman, his wife with her cane, and their little dog walking in the middle of the road.  They hear me coming, slowly step to the side, and wave with huge smiles on their faces.  Am I on a driveway?  I sure hope I’m not on their property.  That wouldn’t be too kind of me, I thought.  Finally, I see a sign–Robinwood Inn.  I pulled up to a black dog greeting me at my car door and two miniature ponies on the other side of me.  I immediately knew how wonderful the day was going to be.  I had gotten to know Christa and James pretty well over the past year after we met for their engagement session and knew the couple they were and what their wedding would be like, but nothing could have prepared me for the sweetness of this day.  I feel so grateful for being the photographer they trusted on their special day.

Christa and James opted for a first-look prior to the ceremony.  After James was all ready, he came out to the Robinwood Inn for the first-look and photos with his bride because the location was BEAUTIFUL.

Did I mention their wedding was the weekend that Hurricane Isaac was supposed to cause a continuous downpour all weekend?  Doesn’t seem that way, does it?

The ceremony was held at Vally Branch Retreat in an warm, inviting barn.

Grab a bag, pick come cookies, and there you have your favor!  Delicious & fun.

Christa and her grandpa. Love these.

These two had the time of their lives…

…dancing the night away to a live Bluegrass band.

Christa and James, your day was perfect.   Thank you so, so much for having me be a part it!
