There’s something pretty incredible about being able to photograph weddings with your spouse. It’s not only awesome for us because we get to spend time together on the weekends, but it’s also a huge benefit for our clients! Our wedding work is extremely consistent because we always work together. Most photographers hire various photographers to fill the second shooter role depending on who is available that day, but when you hire us, you know that we’ll both be there on the big day, and you’ve already seen the work that we produce week in and week out. This gives our couples so much confidence because they know exactly what the end product will look like!

We were there not long ago, and we know what moments are important to our couples. We know the value of marriage and the value of the photographs that you’ll have for generations to come. We know how to make a wedding day run smoothly, and we’re on the same page when it comes to taking care of our clients and the experience we want them to have.

We know how to communicate with one another, our personalities mesh well, and we understand our roles on a wedding day. We can even tell with just a look what the other person needs us to do! It’s like our own little secret language, and it’s super handy during ceremonies when we need to get the other to move out of our shot!

We’re able to be in two places at once. Emily shoots the girls while James shoots the guys in the mornings. One of us can go to cocktail hour while the other photographs the details in the reception space. And most importantly, we’re able to get two awesome angles of great moments!

We know how to have fun with each other, and we have so much fun with our couples and our wedding parties because of it!

Our couples get two “main” photographers, not just one photographer who calls the shots, and an assistant or second shooter that is more on the side-lines. Both of us lead, guide, and direct.

The most awesome thing about being a husband and wife team as wedding photographers is that we can provide safety and security in the event of an emergency. This insurance policy means that we don’t have to find a random person to lead on our couples’ wedding days, even if (for some wild reason) one of us can’t be there!

Our overall photographic vision is the same, but we’re able to provide both editorial and photojournalistic work to our clients, dividing the workload. Our work complements each others, and we’re able to bounce ideas off of each other and be stronger together for our couples.
