I’m constantly working towards improving my self-talk and inner voice. I can be really hard on myself as a mom but I’m really, really working on shifting my thoughts to more positive, self-love kind of talk. These are 3 things I try to do each day that help me feel better about our days – life with 3 kids (4, 3, and 1) is HARD and it’s really easy for me to be hard on myself. I’ve found these little intentions I set really make me feel like I had a successful day, even if we had lots of hard moments and challenges woven in.
- Read to them – whether it’s all together, one at a time, or just one child. Ideally, I read to all of them every day, but it’s not always me who does the reading! It depends on lots of different things in our day.
2. Do something that makes them laugh. Hearing their laugh makes me so happy and we all feel better when we have a few minutes of laughing together.
3. Tell them something thoughtful, intentional, and kid. Our children become what we speak to them, right? So I try to speak love & light into their little souls each day
Is there anything you do each day that makes you feel like a wildly successful mom?! You ARE a successful mom even if you don’t think you are, but maybe you can find a few things to try each day to help shift your perspective if you struggle with throwing in the towel and telling yourself it was “just a really hard day.” Sending love and light your way! xoxo, Emily
